Hero Section Review · For Mariangela's Input
Three versions of the homepage hero are shown below at full width, each with its own design rationale. Review them in order, click to select your preference, and share any notes using the form at the bottom.
All three versions use the same headline, subheading, and CTA buttons. The only difference is the visual treatment of the hero section.
Version A uses the atmospheric botanical background alone. Versions B and C add a portrait of a woman representing Mariangela's target audience on the right side.
Which version makes you feel most seen as a potential client? Which feels most true to the Alkymia brand? Which would you most want to arrive at?
The alchemical botanical background creates a sacred, atmospheric space that is immediately distinctive and non-generic. The copy stands alone without a portrait, which keeps the focus on the headline and CTAs. This is the more editorial, differentiated approach — it does not look like any other wellness site. The risk is that it may feel slightly abstract for a first-time visitor who does not yet know Mariangela.
The woman in deep plum with eyes closed in warm golden light creates an immediate emotional recognition moment for Mariangela's audience. The image is editorial, intimate, and non-stock in feel. A visitor who is exhausted, depleted, or seeking restoration will see herself in this image and feel the page is for her. The risk is that it may feel slightly more generic than Version A, and the portrait is AI-generated rather than commissioned photography.
The woman with a direct, confident gaze in dappled outdoor light represents the transformation outcome — the version of herself the visitor wants to become. This is a slightly different emotional register: aspirational rather than empathic. It says 'this is who you will be' rather than 'I see where you are now'. This can work well for practitioners whose audience is ready to act, but may feel slightly less resonant for visitors who are still in the exhausted/depleted phase.
